An Elegant Crimson Night

In the moonlight,
She sits on the wooden bridge.
Water, so calm,
Her legs hanging above.
Wind, so silent,
Is it safe?
Her midnight-blue kimono,
Embroidered with pearls.
Her long, straight silver hair,
Shining like stars.
Flute in hand,
She raises, to her lips,
Her eyes glistening like the moon,
Focused like a wolf's,
A look of pity and justice,
Her slender fingers,
Gracefully playing the flute.
A beautiful melody,
A painful cry,
Dissolving in the dead of night,
The melody, continuous.
